The Design

The two indoor air handlers would be mounted on the walls where they could provide optimal airflow throughout the rooms. The outdoor heat pump and condenser unit was needed to transfer the treated air to the indoor units.
The Installation
The Mitsubishi ductless system was the perfect choice for this home because it requires almost no modifications to the house. The indoor units only need a small hole to be drilled into the wall behind them before they are mounted. This hole allows the technician to pipe a thin tubing through the walls like an electrical wire to connect the indoor AC to the outdoor condenser. The piping is much thinner than the ductwork needed for a standard system, to the family can now enjoy quality air conditioning without invasive renovations.
The living room unit was placed between the chimney and the back wall, where it would provide the best airflow to the room. The kitchen AC unit was installed above the sliding door where it would be out of the way, but highly effective.
After the indoor units were installed, the outdoor air condenser was set up outside the home where it was mounted to the exterior wall. N.E.T.R., Inc. placed the unit where it would be hidden from view and easy to access for repairs or maintenance.
