The Design
After researching some options for heating and cooling their condo, the owners discovered N.E.T.R., Inc., and knew we would be able to design the perfect system for their home. After meeting with the comfort consultant, the owners agreed that a three-zone ductless system with both heating and cooling capabilities was the best fit. The three rooms that would need comfort control were the living room, master bedroom, and the spare room. Each of these spaces would have a single ductless wall-mounted unit installed to provide the room with the best airflow.

The Installation
After planning the installation with the owners, the team got to work preparing the home for the new ductless system. First, the concrete pad needed to be poured and the outdoor unit installed. The heat pump selected for this installation was a Mitsubishi Electric outdoor unit with cold climate heating capability, which will allow for both heating and cooling in the home.
Next, the indoor wall-mounted ductless units were positioned and mounted on the walls where they would be out of the way. Each of the units had piping snaked through the walls behind it to connect it to the outdoor heat pump. Line hide was used on all of the piping on the exterior of the home to disguise the pipes as much as possible. This step helps to preserve the aesthetic of the home.
The new ductless mini splits inside the home all had standard remote controls set up to allow the family to easily control the temperature in the rooms individually. This gives the owners more control over the comfort in their home by allowing them to set the temperature of each room independently from the others.
The Benefits
Now that the new system is installed and ready to use, the family will start seeing energy savings right away! The Mitsubishi ductless system is more energy efficient and cost-effective than other air conditioning or heating solutions. Additionally, because they chose to replace the gas heat system with the new Mitsubishi mini split system, they’ll be able to enjoy all the warmth they crave on the coldest days of winter.
