The owners of this Boston, MA condo loved the location and modern design of their home. However, the lack of air conditioning in the bedroom and living room proved to be a problem in the heat of summer.

The owners knew that adding ductwork for a traditional HVAC system was not an option, so they researched alternative heating and air conditioning methods. After deciding that window ACs were not a good solution because they are expensive, loud, and inefficient to run.

Researching additional options, they discovered the N.E.T.R. Inc., is the #1 Elite Diamond Dealer for Mitsubishi Electric ductless air conditioning in Boston and the surrounding areas. After reading the hundreds of customer reviews, they decided that N.E.T.R., Inc., was the right company for their HVAC installation.

Our team talked with the owners about the Mitsubishi ductless AC system and how this ductless mini-split AC will help the family enjoy both heating and air conditioning all year long.

Wall-mounted mini-split air conditioner in a MA condo. The Design

After the owners of this condo in Boston, Massachusetts, contacted NETR. Inc. our comfort specialist met with the owners. We were able to determine that the condo would require three zones of heating and cooling. This design could be accomplished with a single outdoor heat pump and three indoor mini splits mounted on the walls of the first floor, master bedroom, and guest room.

The simplicity of this installation made it a quick and easy solution to the family’s heating and cooling problems.

Indoor ductless air conditioning unit in a condo in Boston, MA. The Installation

Because the condo had an existing gas heating system and no central air conditioning, the team at NETR. Inc. designed the new ductless system to be supplemental. The ductless mini-splits double as both heating and cooling units, so it was the perfect way to offer supplemental heating while providing high-quality air conditioning for the condo.

The outdoor heat pump was installed on a concrete pad outside the home. This unit pulls the hot air from outside the home, heats it through the coils, and then pumps it to the indoor mini-splits.

On the first floor of the home, a single wall-mounted Mitsubishi ductless mini-split was installed. This indoor unit will help supply heated and cooled air to the living room, kitchen, and the rest of the first floor.

Upstairs, the master and both second bedrooms received a Mitsubishi ductless wall-mounted AC. Behind each of the indoor units, small holes were drilled in the wall. These holes connect the thin piping to the back of the wall-mounted unit. The piping is then snaked through the walls like electrical wiring and connected to the outdoor heat pump. The tubing operates similarly to ductwork, but it is a more efficient way to transport the heated or cooled air.

Thanks to the new Mitsubishi ductless system, this family will be able to enjoy three zones of comfort throughout their home. The condo owners now have high-quality heating and cooling throughout the first four as well as pinpoint control over the comfort in their bedrooms.

This is a fantastic way to offer supplemental heating and cooling throughout the home, and the Mitsubishi ductless system will help them save on energy bills throughout the year. Because the ductless mini-splits operate incredibly efficiently, the family will be able to rely on them for heating and cooling throughout the year.

Additionally, the Mitsubishi ductless, mini-split air conditioning and the heating system operate incredibly quietly, so the family won’t be disturbed by the sound of the air conditioning kicking on in the middle of the night. These Mitsubishi units are so quiet that we have installed them in recording studios.
