The Design
Additionally, the outdoor condenser unit and heat pump would be installed on the right side of the home. This placement made it easy to access but kept it out of sight.
The Installation
The indoor units are much easier to install than a standard HVAC system because they do not require extensive ductwork. Instead, the units are mounted on the wall, and a tiny hole is drilled behind each unit. This hole allows the technician to snake a thin tubing through the walls like electrical wiring and connect the indoor unit to the outdoor condenser. The condenser then pumps the treated air through the tubes to the air handlers.
